The 2013 Louisiana Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is May 25 and May 26!
On these 2 days, eligible purchases will be exempt from the 4% state sales tax. This exemption applies to the first $1500 of the purchase price of each item.
Eligible items include:

self-powered light sources, such as flashlights and candles

batteries(AAA,AA,C,D,6volt, 9volt)Automobile batteries are ineligibile

cellular phone batteries and chargers
-
gas or diesel fuel tanks
-
portable generators
-
storm shutter devices(manufactured, rated and marketed for the purposes of preventing window damage during storms)
-
portable radios, 2 way radios and weather-band radios
-
tarps
-
ground anchor systems, straps or tie-down kits
-
blue ice
-
carbon monoxide detectors

“Our tax coaching service quizzes clients on their families and homes, jobs, businesses, and investments, and then recommends specific strategies and concepts for saving tax,” David Huff continues. “We package those recommendations in plain English, to deliver the savings they really want.”
Coaching includes a personalized written report and ongoing maintenance for changing tax laws. We also offer low cost fees for monthly bookkeeping.
